The Risk Data and Reporting Sr Analyst II role within Enterprise Issues Management is responsible for assisting in completion and documentation of quality assurance reviews, continuous monitoring routines, and operational tasks associated with monitoring and reporting issue metrics. Role is primarily aligned to support stakeholders and provide guidance, needs, and initiatives in relation to the Enterprise Issues Management Program Framework.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the execution and reporting of the quality review process and continuous monitoring routines. Evaluate results of quality reviews and continuous monitoring routines for trending thematic observations and/or areas of concern in relation to Program execution. Explain results of analysis and evaluate directive action to foster expected results. 2. Investigate and research data fluctuations and/or anomalies in reports, data, systems, etc.  Explain results of reports and metrics monitored to department management and other stakeholders.
  • Perform control execution as designed and ensure documentation is thorough, transparent, and retained to evidence control performance.
  • Analyze monitoring processes for efficiencies, effectiveness, and ability to design monitoring approaches to verify procedural compliance and/or forward insight.
  • Serve as a consultative resource to business partners on issues management quality reviews, metric reporting, and procedural requirement expectations.
  • Perform issue validation testing for Enterprise Issues Management identified issues, ensuring root cause has been properly remediated.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep specialized and/or broad knowledge within a professional discipline. Solid understanding of key business processes and strategies.
  • Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders. 
  • Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.
  • Ability to lead moderately complex projects.  Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in related field
  • 9 years of related experience
  • Previous experience in banking, with specific emphasis on reporting, business intelligence, systems, technology, data, risk, compliance or related areas
  • Relevant professional or technical certifications
  • Advanced skills in data wrangling, data engineering, data science, or related areas.  Experience with languages and tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Qlik, Tableau, etc.
