As part of the Capital Markets division within Truist Securities, Inc., the Asset Securitization Group (ASG) provides structured debt capital solutions to clients of Truist Bank across a range of consumer, commercial and esoteric asset classes. The ABS Syndicate team within ASG (i) partners with the Originations team and sales team to place asset-backed securities (ABS) with institutional investors in the new issue market . In addition to supporting our Head of ABS Syndicate, the Vice President is involved in pitching new clients as well as advising existing clients and maintaining and growing relationships with institutional investors. ASG collaborates with internal partners including Banking, Risk, Operations, and Legal to achieve seamless execution, appropriate risk mitigation and strong client experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. 

1. Develop knowledge around Truist ABS new issue securities and strategy around pricing of those new issues.
2. Aid in distribution strategy and targeting of investors for new issues.
3. Monitor market trends and develop views on broader market and ABS market spreads and activity.
4. Work with ABS banking, sales force, trading and other syndicate desks to fully distribute risk on new issue securities.
5. Demonstrate the Truist values
6. Adheres to risk/compliance policies and guidelines

The annual base salary for this position is $250,000.

Required Qualifications:

1.    BA/BS degree
2.    Licenses: Series 7, 79, and 63
3.    6 years of related work experience
4.    Strong technical skills
5.    Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork, trust and accountability
6.    Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas to facilitate execution

Preferred Qualifications

1.     5 years capital markets experience, preferably in a syndicate or ABS sales role
