Teammate reports to the head of Enterprise Architecture Governance and Operations. He / She will focus on designing and executing processes to support enterprise objectives. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop enterprise architecture strategies focused on business model, digital transformation, and innovation. It includes, managing governance forums and workstreams, maintaining technical documentation, and ensuring timely reporting. The role also requires leading critical initiatives, staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices, and providing thought leadership in technology innovation, all while performing tasks with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide key inputs to enterprise architecture operational strategy with focus on business model, digital transformation, and innovation, collaborating with business owners, technology leaders, and risk partners to draft next generation processes.
2. Engage in enterprise architecture process design and execution activities supporting enterprise objectives, cost and risk reduction, including process mapping and dependency identification.
3. Conduct design, planning and execution of key Enterprise Architecture governance forums
4. Lead management of key governance workstreams, including delivery of critical and high priority deliverables in a fast-paced environment
5. Draft and maintain technical documentation as required by Truist IT governance.
6. Ensure timely and thorough reporting on all areas of focus as needed.
7. Lead or "jump start" initiatives deemed critical to Enterprise Architecture and Truist's success.
8. Maintain a high level of awareness and understanding of existing and emerging technologies, and industry and bank best practices, and leverage for EA operations enhancements.
9. Provide thought leadership in new technology innovation, incubation, introduction and implementation critical to Truist's technology and business strategy roadmaps and ongoing success
10. With minimal supervision, perform tasks based on EA Governance and Operations priorities.
Note : The difference between Enterprise Architect, Sr. Enterprise Architect is scope, years of experience, and complexity of the business line and related technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's degree in Business or IT, or equivalent education and related training
2. Ten years of architecture / design / delivery experience which includes Five years of enterprise architecture experience or Ten years' solution architecture experience in technology and security, and five years of banking / financial business domain
3. Comprehensive experience with various architectural domains such as application, data, infrastructure, security and integration
4. Strong analytical and broad architectural skills
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Strong negotiation / facilitation skills
7. Significant knowledge of current and emerging architecture principles, methodologies and tools
8. Experience as negotiator with vendors for relevant products and services
9. Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking with ability to differentiate feasible from academic solutions
10. Demonstrated thought-leadership skills with the ability to translate high-level business planning information into application needs / solutions
11. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
12. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications :
1. Proven ability to build relationships with business stakeholders
2. Experience in modeling complex business processes using BPMN 2.0
3. Track record of process improvement implementation at a TOP-5 Financial Institution
4. Familiarity with industry frameworks and models published by groups such as BIAN and the Business Architecture Guild
5. Understanding of Agile frameworks and methodologies
6. Knowledgeable on current regulatory environment and related topics in Financial Services
7. Elaboration of standard artifacts and technical writing
8. Ability to integrate business architecture and process management principles
9. Ability to leverage existing network to execute enterprise best practices Independent, initiative-taking, self-starter
