Job Overview
This position requires an Agricultural Equipment Technician to perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing diagnostics and repairs on John Deere agricultural equipment and technology.
- Operating and maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
- Participating in John Deere University training and dealer-led training to further develop skills and knowledge.
- Maintaining current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
- Mentoring Service Technician Apprentices and Students as requested.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience performing service repairs preferred; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred.
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures with limited re-work or customer dissatisfaction.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and forklift license preferred.
