Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand tools and power tools. As an Assembly Technician, you will assemble precision aerospace, medical, and commercial components, ranging in complexity, per drawings specifications, and work instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, sketches, product specifications or work instructions.
- Perform insert installation, riveting, bushing installation, part marking, masking, packaging, or other tasks as assigned by Assembly Lead.
- Apply sealants, epoxies, or primers to secure fasteners.
- Operate lasers to apply part marks.
- Accurately track your time and product completion quantities.
- Inspect complete parts by utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to ensure quality standards are met and record inspection data as required by the work instructions.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Comply, encourage, and support all safety rules and regulations.
- Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate.
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
Skills & Qualifications Preferred:
- Ability to meet target times on repeat production work.
- Understanding or ability to read engineered drawings.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write work instructions.
- Proficient with MRP / ERP Systems.
- Effective communications skills.
- Knowledge of various inspection equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment on the assembly line.
- Familiarity with safety practices is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required during the assembly process.
