We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment. This role is crucial to our operations, as it directly impacts inventory management and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Load and unload products from trucks using forklifts and reach trucks.
- Utilize AS400 software for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
- Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Conduct basic math calculations to verify quantities received against purchase orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and reach trucks; certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is advantageous.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory management.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading products.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience as an order picker or in stock management is highly desirable.
