Summary
As a Tool Crib Associate at Trulife you will maintain cutting tools and fixture inventories and issues pre-processed tooling kits to machinists prior to the start of a work order.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Builds cutter/tool holder assemblies per work order instructions.
- Pre-processes tooling kits including cutting tools, fixtures, vises, material, packaging, special hand tools … etc. prior to the start of a production work order.
- Records tool assembly records and offset via the MRP/ERP system.
- Breaks down and post-processes tooling kits after completion of a work order.
- Works closely with a machinist to replace tools that are worn throughout a work order.
- Works with programming to research tools for new or existing jobs.
- Monitors tooling inventories and purchases tools based on demand from the ERP system.
- Maintains accurate inventory through routine cycle counts.
- Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment per standard operation procedures.
- Visually inspects or measures tools and equipment using micrometers and other inspection equipment, and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
- Repair or service tools, tool holders, fixtures, and equipment.
- Mark, label and/or identify tools and equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Comply, encourage, and support all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain clean work area.
- Other reasonable duties such as business and operational needs dictate.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of and experience with common cutting tools for mills and lathes preferred.
- Prior experience as a machinist preferred.
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Experience with an MRP/ERP systems a plus.

Pay: $21.50 - $22.40 per hour
