Regional Safety Manager$90,000-$110,000 Trulite is GROWING!We are looking for Regional Safety Manager to be based at out of any of our locations with in the West.Who You Are : You value safety and have an eye for the modification, implementation, and management of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs and strategies. You enjoy teaching and coaching and will thrive at directing and guiding staff activities. You are passionate about establishing and maintaining organizational performance standards to support your operational partners within the West Region.Skills You Bring : BS Degree in Safety or equivalent or two years’ experience as a safety professional or a combination of bothOSHA 30 preferredGood written and verbal communication skillsA team playerMust be able to train other employees effectivelyExperience working with quality systems is preferredWhat You Will Be Doing : You will partner with field branch and operations leadership, serving as the subject matter expert (SME) on the interpretation of federal, state, and local HSE regulations. Working closely with plant management, you will develop and deliver safety reports, statistics, and provide leadership on environmental health and safety initiatives. Your responsibilities include maintaining records, leading recordable incident investigations, preparing information for corporate conference calls, and creating corrective action plans to prevent recurring issues.This position requires up to 70% travel.Directs the organization's safety programs to protect employees and maintain safe working conditions. Facilitates monthly safety committee meeting and develops weekly toolbox talks and monthly safety trainings per OSHA and company’s yearly training structureFormulates and suggests work safety standardsRisk prevention areas include hazardous materials exposure, accidents, ergonomic concerns, and other unsafe conditionsMeets compliance and reporting requirements of federal or state regulations.Performs New Hire Safety Orientations and other safety training and maintains appropriate recordsAssists with investigations of incidents, accidents, complaints, and cases of ill health.Assists with risk assessments and site inspections. Coordinates yearly OSHA audits with state and corporate partnersWorks with management and maintenance to ensure equipment is installed correctly / safely as well as assists with ensuring maintenance of equipment is up to date and scheduled accordinglyKeeps all environmental tasks up to date per state, federal, and company standards. Applies for permits and does necessary inspections / tests per branch environmental plans. Updates share point site to status of environmental complianceSchedules and ensures yearly emergency action plan drills are scheduled and completedEvaluates and coordinates purchasing of personal protection equipment as well as coordinates the plant’s safety shoe and prescription eyewear programContinues efforts towards INSHARP and VIPP Certifications for the branchWhy Trulite : Trulite offers the most comprehensive benefit coverage in the industry.
