We are looking for Marketing and Administrative Support for our sales managers’ teams in Florida, DC, and Illinois. The candidate must be based in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area. This is a hybrid position where you will spend time in both the Miami and Fort Lauderdale locations. You will also spend time in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami trade area performing local store marketing (LSM).

POSITION:Community Engagement Coordinator and Event Support

COMPENSATION: $20-$25/hour (Salary Commensurate to Experience)
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- A college degree is not necessary, but experience and/or beneficial coursework are welcomed.
- Must possess excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to type, use computers and software. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Aloha POS, OpenTable, and Tripleseat Event Software
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Available to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility for variation for different time zones when providing out of office coverage for the SEM team or working events).
- Subject to seasonal fluctuations.
- Ability to stand for 6 hours.
- The ability to lift at least Forty (40) pounds.
- You must have reliable transportation and comfort level navigating city traffic and parking situations.
ABOUT YOU:
- Prior experience in the high-end hospitality industry is helpful and preferred.
- Catering/private event sales experience.

- Collaborator, able to foster relationships with Employees, Guests, and Business/Community Leaders.
As the Community Engagement Coordinator and Event Support, you will:
- Assist the Special Event Manager and General Manager in scheduling and performing all community engagement activities.
- Attend meetings with local associations to remain informed of community events and initiatives and seek opportunities for Truluck’s to participate.
- Identify and target properties or businesses that are likely to produce new restaurant clientele within the neighborhoods of the restaurants.
- Perform outside sales activities for the restaurant in the form of in-person, cold-call visits with local businesses and community associations to introduce Truluck’s to new customers.
- Plan and execute sales visits utilizing restaurant team members and marketing collateral as directed by the Market Operating Partner and Sales & Events Manager
- Support the planning of local charity events both within the restaurant and throughout the community and participate in the event execution.
- Seek out potential local businesses and charity organizations to form partnerships to assist in raising donations and awareness for meaningful causes that contribute to the health and wellness of our communities, which in turn raise awareness of Truluck’s brand.
- Prepare call-to-action offers with the assistance of the Market Operating Partner and General Managers that will drive new customers to the restaurants.
- Invite local VIPs and influencers to experience Truluck’s and craft content that is supportive of Truluck’s brand.
- Provide out-of-office coverage for the SEM team, including an in-person presence at any scheduled meetings or events.
- Be knowledgeable about the restaurant’s products and services and the unique history of the brand to tell our story well.
- You will support the events and accounting teams in ensuring all private dining events sales are collected and communicated for our restaurants. This position further supports our Leadership team, Sales & Events Managers, and accounting team to ensure the accurate and timely collection of payments.
- Ensure deposits are processed in both Aloha POS and Tripleseat event software.
- Send deposit receipts to Truluck’s accounting team and client event contact(s)
- Load final event receipts into the attached files section of the event software.
- Record Aloha event receipt totals for each event into event software and ensure sales balance.
- Compare final BEO to final receipt and communicate any discrepancies or incorrectly rung items to the SEM and accounting teams.
- Charge credit cards on file for outstanding balances when denoted on BEO.
- Email receipts to Truluck’s accounting team for events with nontaxable items (like Valet and Rentals)
- Email receipts to guests upon request by the SEM.
- Attend monthly SEM conference call.
- Portray Truluck’s brand with consistent and/or standardized brand imaging and messaging.
- Be responsive to unit or customer questions or concerns that may arise during an event and close the circle, as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Special Events
- Provide coverage to the SEM team members during their time off such as vacation, conference attendance, Local Store Marketing (LSM) events.
- Attend in-person events as requested by SEM members to provide necessary support and coverage, to include customer meetings, LSM events and high-level events such as buyout events, etc.
