The WIP Puller/ Material Handler pulls products and packaging materials from the warehouse based on the manufacturing orders as well as putting away raw and packaging material to its designated bin areas.
- 1st shift 5:00am - 3:30pm. Monday-Thursday
Key Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties
- Reads manufacturing orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for items and distributes items to production workers.
- Retrieves items listed on the manufacturing orders with the specified quantity from the correct bin location following FIFO protocols.
- Verifies that all items listed on the manufacturing orders are pulled correctly
- Records all vendor and lot information as specified on the manufacturing orders to account for lot code traceability
- Remains attentive to any production line needs as directed from the production supervisor
- When pulling raw materials for production runs, pullers must also retrieve any packaging material needed for the run.
- Puts away any leftover packaging material or raw material to its designated bin after production runs.
- Assists in loading hoppers on to machines for production runs, including unloading the hoppers and washing them out.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Uses computer/scanner to enter records.
- Assists in maintaining inventory records.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must have ability to operate pallet jack, forklift or similar power machinery, tools, and equipment, as needed, in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Work is performed in a shipping environment and disruptions occur frequently.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
