Job Description
Guidance Counselor - Creekside Middle School
Must hold a valid Ohio Pupil Services certificate/license in School Counseling. Provide direct and indirect services in support of students' academic and social/emotional
development. Will also advocate on behalf of students and share in the creation of a positive environment for learning. May also be employed under an extended service
contract for work before and after the designated school year. Will demonstrate professionalism, strong ethics (including maintaining privacy and confidentiality
appropriately), cultural competence and diversity awareness, and work cooperatively with administrators and other counselors.
Applicants that are offered the position shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCI criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based upon the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the Fairfield City School District.
