Faculty Position in Biology

The School of Science and Mathematics is seeking applicants for a faculty position in Biology.

The successful candidate will provide classroom instruction to undergraduate major students in the areas of taxonomy, plant anatomy, and medicinal botany including specialty upper-level electives that serve programs in Biology and emerging programs in Environmental Science, Cannabis and Natural Medicinal; engage in scholarly activity; advise and mentor research projects; develop new courses; conduct related research; and participate in service to the University.

Program: The Department of Agricultural and Biological Sciences is part of the School of Science and Mathematics at Truman State University. The Department has 20 faculty members and approximately 320 undergraduate majors in Agricultural Science, Biology, Cannabis & Natural Medicinals and Environmental Science. The Department also offers courses in the Dialogues (Truman’s liberal studies core curriculum) and opportunities for faculty members to pursue interdisciplinary teaching and research.

The Community: Located in northeast Missouri, Kirksville is a cultural and economic hub in the region.
