Pickup/Delivery Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up customer repairs and delivering repaired units and new units back to our customers in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle various delivery tasks. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through safe and efficient delivery practices.

Duties

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care of items.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures when required.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
• Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps to optimize delivery routes.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.
• Mower blade and saw chain sharpening as well as tire repair skills a plus but not required

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
• Experience with a flatbed or rollback delivery truck is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with operation of forklift is highly desirable but not required (training on forklift can be provided).
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Capable of lifting heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and performing physical tasks associated with loading/unloading deliveries.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.
• Flexibility to work varying hours as needed based on delivery schedules.
• overtime may be offered during busy season but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
