Carpenter / Framer

We are seeking a Carpenter / Framer to perform consistent, steady work on a variety of commercial projects throughout mid-Michigan.

Responsibilities:

• Shaping, cutting, and fitting materials to specified measurements using hand or power tools.
• Ability to set up, organize, and take responsibility for the job.
• Completing a daily accounting of all equipment, tools, and materials.
• Assess what is needed on a project and identify risks and dependencies.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans and perform layout for framing, ceilings, casework, and more.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2 years minimum carpentry experience required
• Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation.

• Wood framing
• Metal Framing
• Acoustical Ceilings
• Demolition and/or cleanup
• Drywall hanging
