The Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking qualified ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL candidates for our Fairhaven School for the 2025-2026 program year and beyond. The ideal candidate will assist the Principal in managing, administering and facilitating the daily operations, activities and events of the Fairhaven school and preschool program. Responsibilities include assisting with meeting the needs of students through curriculum development; assisting in the development and administration of policies dealing with discipline, conduct, and attendance pertaining to students, employees, and parents; working with and assisting employees in the development of effective classroom discipline and organization; assisting in the development of an instructional budget; providing activities which facilitate the professional growth of school employees and enhances the quality of the instructional program; assisting in the supervision of special events; assisting in the management of the building and grounds; assisting with required drills and implementing emergency plans safely and effective; supervising and evaluating certified, paraprofessional, and support employees as assigned. Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in special education, education administration, or related field. Candidates also must have a valid Principal’s licensure from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce as well as five years of successful working experience with the developmental disability population. Two (2) years with preschoolers is preferred. Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and abuser registry clearances required.
