- School Counselor
- Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling.
- Valid school counselor license issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
- Experience working with high school students and career-tech education preferred.
- Ability to work well with students from diverse backgrounds, staff, parents, and community members.
- Skilled in using technology, including navigating an iPad, Google Workspace for Education apps, and knowledge of student scheduling in ProgressBook’s Student Information System.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, with good interpersonal skills.
- Such other qualities of academic, professional and personal excellence as may be specified by the TCTC Board of Education.
- Counsel students with personal or educational concerns.
- Accurately maintain student records such as: credits, deficiencies, and transcripts.
- Work in close collaboration with TCTC’s associate school counselors.
- Assist with developing student schedules, making class changes, sharing credit recovery options and monitoring credit recovery, and completing college applications.
- Assist with state testing, college recruitment and scholarship coordination.
- Assist with recruitment of students at homeschools through school visits, Career Days, Open House, and other TCTC recruitment activities.
- Interact with the school guidance advisory committee and participate in county school counselor meetings.
- Participate in the school’s student unity/anti-bullying campaign.
- Other duties as assigned by the Guidance Supervisor, Director, or Superintendent.
