- HIGH SCHOOL CUSTODIAN- PM
- Clean school building on a daily basis; prepare facility for the school operations, maintain entrance ways; perform all applicable custodial duties as assigned and those outlines in the job description.
- High School Diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).
- One year related experience preferred.
- BCII/FBI.
- Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Effective, active listening skills.
- Knowledge of appropriate safety procedures.
- Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, written warnings, and labels.
- Trained in the proper care and storage of chemicals, e.g., OHSA/PERRAC training.
- Knowledge of the care of materials, methods, and practices essential to proper cleaning of a facility.
- Knowledge of the care and proper use of sweepers, vacuum machines, mops, brushes, wax machines, cleaning fluids, and other cleaning materials and equipment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently both orally and in writing.
- Organizational and problem solving skills.
- Trained in clean up and disposal of blood borne pathogens.
- Ability to learn proper use of materials, methods, and practices used in cleaning operations.
- Frequent requirement to lift, carry, push and pull various supplies and materials to a maximum of 60 pounds, e.g., unloading trucks, carrying copier paper, pushing trash cart, salt and pails, and snow removal.
- Painting skills preferred.
- Class B CDL license with school bus and passenger endorsement preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
- Complete paperwork as required by supervisor.
- Make contacts with the public with tact and diplomacy.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and building occupants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Exercise care I the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces.
- Maintain respect at all times with confidential information.
- Maintenance Supervisor
- Eight (8) hours per day. Twelve months.
- Vacation time and holidays in accordance with the current adopted contract.
