POSITION:
- Facilities Manager
- This employee will be responsible for developing preventative maintenance schedules for all Board facilities, including facility maintenance, equipment, pest control services, and grounds maintenance.
- Responsibilities also include overseeing minor repairs to facilities and equipment, and ongoing maintenance of all cleaning equipment, boilers and heating systems.
- Must also oversee and manage all remodeling and major equipment installation, maintenance of swimming pool at our school, building inspections, and the supervision of custodial staff.
- A high school diploma or GED required, with some technical schooling preferred.
- Experience with facility management or building maintenance required.
- Candidates should have at least five years total related experience in the various construction trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
- Must have previous experience managing direct reports.
- Experience managing in a union environment a plus.
- Evidence of a valid driver’s license in state of residence, good driving record and full liability coverage on any vehicle used for work-related purposes.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess computer skills in various word processing and database management programs.
- Must possess demonstrated knowledge of building automated systems, standard cleaning procedures, and workplace hazardous materials information.
