- IT (Hands-on) Administrator
- Superintendent
- 215 workdays - spread over 12 months
- Negotiable based on expertise and experience.
To assist in the planning and integration of electronic and technological initiatives which support the district's usage of technology as a tool for instructional achievement. This includes all aspects of the development of a multi-tiered system of service to students.
- Traditional with technology integration to serve students/staff needs
- Blended with technology integration to support structured student learning as directed by within or outside of the traditional school setting

Essential Functions:
- Ensure safety of students
- Assists in the formation of a philosophy and objectives for the instructional program
- Provide assistance in the areas of curriculum and instruction as it relates to electronic learning/technology
- Assist in the selection and use of technology teaching aids
- Assist in coordinating ongoing development and implementation technology
- Assist in facilitating the organization of district level instructional technology
- Serve as a member of district's IT committee, providing consultation to the district on the evaluation and selection of technology equipment, software and other related material
- Assist in coordination instructional technology related professional development and locating training resources outside of the school system as needed
- Serve as a district level contact and support person for school-based tech integration support (ie: classes on social networks, blogging, electronic instructional tools, data trackers)
- Serve as an instructional technology resource to instructional staff
- Prepare instructional technology related grant applications at the district level to include E-rate application
- Investigate emerging technologies and assess their potential for instructional and cost-effectiveness
- Develop relationships with peer institutions and academic organizations in order to foster and increase the use of instructional technology in K-12 education
- Communicate and educate users of varying technical knowledge (senior administration, faculty, staff, or students)
- Serve as a district trouble shooter
- Assist in planning the implementation of technology as it relates to instruction, administration, operations, and the Board of Education
- Maintains, repairs, manages and upgrades school district technology network
- Provides technical support for school district
- Manages anti-virus and network security
- Establishes server setup, configuration and backup
- Provides guidance and direction for network operations
- Serves as technical liaison for the staff
- Assumes responsibility for computer troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
- Works with the ITC on network and global implementation of support hardware and software
- Establishes relationships with technology vendors
- Serves on advisory boards as needed or requested by district
- Responds to day-to-day network and other technology related problems.
- Serve as a role model for students and staff
- Respond to routine questions and requests in an appropriate manner
- Attend required meetings and in-services
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
- Bachelors' in technology or higher degree (preferred)
- At least three years computer experience
- Successfully complete State of Ohio and FBI background check
- Successfully complete drug test on initial employment
- Knowledge of computers, multimedia and other technologies
- Experience with establishing computer networks and in basic computer repairs
- Experience in accessing information networks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer hardware and software expertise
- Such alternative to the above qualifications as Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate
- Computer, both PC and Mac
- Various technological learning instruments (including iOS devices)
- Digital camera
- Interactive equipment i.e. SmartBoard, Tablet, IPad
- Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather conditions
- Occasional requirement to travel, both daily and overnight
- Possible evening/weekend/summer work
- Frequent repetitive hand motion, e.g., computer keyboard, typing, calculator, writing
- Occasional requirement to lift, carry, push, pull various items up to a maximum of 20 pounds
- Frequent requirement to stand, walk, sit, climb, read, hear
