What are the responsibilities and job description for the Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach -- Lordstown Local Schools position at Trumbull County ESC?
Position:
The head coach must have a commitment to the philosophy of providing a structured, developmentally appropriate, and an increasingly competitive program built on the foundation of education-based athletics. The applicant must understand the role that interscholastic athletics play in the total school program and the impact on the social, emotional and intellectual development of the student. The head coach will be expected to exemplify high moral character, behavior, and leadership, adhering to strong ethical and integrity standards. The head coach will abide by and teach the rules of the game in spirit and set a good example for players and spectators to follow, teach/display good sportsmanship, treat players, opponents and officials with dignity and respect, instill good habits and training rules, and maintain the highest level of responsibility and behavior that is expected of all Lordstown Local School District employees. Previous head coaching experience at the high school level is preferred but not a mandatory requirement.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Pupil Activity Permit (ODE CERTIFICATION).
- Successful completion of all ODE, OHSAA and District required training.
- Passing of the required BCI/FBI Background Checks.
- Follow all Lordstown Local Schools Board Policies.
- Complete a full season of the sport.
- Maintain professional, ethical and suitable conduct throughout.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, Athletic Director, administration and all stakeholders.
- According to the Lordstown Teachers' Association Negotiated Agreement.
