Akron Counter Sales Associate
Trumbull Industries is looking for talented people who want to earn opportunities to grow and advance within a stable company.
The primary duties of this position are to work with walk-in customers and take phone orders plus support our sales team by pulling customer orders for delivery or pick-up.
Position responsibilities:
Obtain knowledge of a wide range of products and communicate effectively about these products with internal/external customers
Service walk-in/phone customers by entering orders using a multiple tier pricing system
Learn the warehouse management system to be able to put on sales orders, look up product/inventory information, and to assist with shipping and receiving when necessary
Pick and stage customer orders using RF technology
Replenish retail bin locations to ensure accurate inventory and to make items readily available for walk-in customers
Load orders into customer vehicles either by hand or using material handling equipment
General housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean working environment
Follow all safety rules and policies including operating all types of material handling equipment
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalency
Knowledge and familiarity with plumbing products (pipe, valves, fittings, supply lines, water heaters, hand & power tools, etc.) used in commercial & residential, and/or municipal applications preferred
Customer service experience preferred
Computer experience ERP inventory systems as well as Internet, Email, and MS-Office Suite
Strong organizational skills to be able to handle a varied workload/ jobs.
Must be capable to work well with fellow employees.
Effective communication skills required
Standing/walking on concrete for extending periods of time.
Capacity to lift up to 75lbs repeatedly
