Job Summary
The Volunteer Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing our volunteer program. Duties
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract new volunteers, including campus recruitment initiatives.
- Organize and conduct training sessions for volunteers, focusing on their roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise volunteers during events and activities, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Manage volunteer schedules and ensure proper coverage for events.
- Utilize social media management skills to promote volunteer opportunities and highlight volunteer contributions.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, engagement, and feedback using Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages volunteer retention through recognition programs and ongoing communication.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs and opportunities within the organization.
Experience
- Proven experience in volunteer management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience in training development and leadership roles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with recruiting processes, particularly in campus settings, is a plus.
- Proficiency in using software tools such as Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce for data management.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
