Construction Foreman Job Description, Qualifications and Requirements
Trumbull-Nelson is an award winning, experienced construction management company headquartered in West Lebanon NH that has been in business for over 105 years. Our area of expertise includes school, healthcare, industrial, higher education, retail, commercial, utility, multifamily, and high- end residential projects.
Trumbull-Nelson is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to join our team. We believe and understand the great success we have had over the years stems from the expert team of professionals we have on our staff. Under the direction of the Project Manager and Superintendent, the Foreman, plans, directs, and coordinates the day- to -day activities at the assigned job site. The Foreman is responsible for supervising all laborers, carpenters, equipment operators, other Company employees and sub-contractors on-site. The Foreman will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure that the cost, quality and schedule goals for the job are met through the effective use of personnel, materials, sub-contractors and equipment. The Foreman is also expected to physically participate in the day-to-day tasks necessary to meet the goals set for his/her project, including at times, all the tasks of his/her subordinate workers. The Foreman is expected and required to have extensive knowledge of building construction labor, equipment, tools, materials procedures and be responsible for enforcing quality standards, meeting productivity goals and maintaining a safe work environment. The Foreman must be able to read and understand blueprints, drawings and have a sound understanding of layout, to include but not limited to lines, grades and elevations; and the use of layout instruments in determining lines, grades and elevations.
Education: High school diploma, GED or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry with at least one year as a lead person.
