What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Attendant - On Call position at Trump Hotel Las Vegas?
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES/POSITION PURPOSE:
The primary responsibility of a Pool Attendant/Lifeguard is to monitor activities of swimmers/bathers in pool and Jacuzzi to ensure a safe environment and to avoid/prevent injuries, provide emergency assistance as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide prompt, exceptional, courteous, friendly service to guests and associates
- Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Trump Core Values.
- Cleaning, pre-busing, wiping down and organizing cabanas, storage areas and any locations related to the pool.
- Maintain all health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Ensure all pool furniture is in proper position and re-organize on an on-going basis throughout the shift.
- Entire pool must be walked every twenty (20) minutes. During the walk guests must be greeted, used towels and trash picked-up.
- Observes all activity in the pool area to ensure pool safety guidelines are observed
- Provides emergency response and/or first aid as needed
- Prepare and stock towels, as needed.
- Stocking water as necessary
- Cleaning pool deck and straightening chairs/tables at the close of business.
- Assist guests with finding chairs.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow associates, and Vendors.
- Roll towels, monitor cabanas and keep pool/surrounding area neat and orderly.
- Offer each guest a towel.
- Offer each guest a food and beverage menu, and let them know who their server will be.
- Set each chair up with one rolled towel, two rolled towels for daybeds, and five rolled towels for cabanas.
- Follow the rotation given to you each morning.
- Removing towels when guests are leaving their chairs.
- Picking up trash and debris from the pool deck.
- Arriving on-time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
- Adherence to all standards, policies and procedures specified by Trump Hotel Las Vegas and the department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
EDUCATION
Must be at least 16 years of age. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature (of 100 degrees or more), illumination and air quality.
EXPERIENCE
Prefer 1-year previous food service experience. Must be able to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR and Lifeguard Certification and TAM Card
