Description
SUMMARY
To assist the Spa Director in maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in all aspects of operations. They are to administer professional massage and body treatments to our guest. They must have thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities and possess a general understanding of body treatments, to ensure all treatments are carried out to the highest standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform massage and body treatments in a safe and comfortable manner.
Provide Spa services to guests in a timely, courteous and efficient manner and in accordance with our hotel standards.
Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer queries, needs and expectations
Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations, including Covid-19 guidelines.
Escort clients to and from treatment rooms, attending to any immediate needs throughout Spa visit.
Must be willing to assist in maintaining the spa / fitness public areas including the lounge and locker room.
Must be willing to assist in covering the front desk at times.
Maintain cleanliness of treatment room, bed linens, and keep room well stocked.
Attend all trainings and meetings required by the Spa and the State of Florida.
Apply best practices and be up to date with market trends.
Must be able to multitask
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
Assist and recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Attend Spa related functions, meetings, training, and informational seminars for the benefit of the Hotel
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

State of Florida Massage License required.
Insurance that is required by the hotel.
High School Diploma required
Minimum two years experience in similar position in Spa industry
Must have knowledge of general modalities and Spa products
REQUIREMENTS
Physical demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
Position may require reaching with hands and arms
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel as thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems.
Communication
Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with employees, vendors and visitors to the Spa.
Must read, write and speak the English language fluently
Knowledge of Spanish helpful
Computer skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Word, Excel, Power Point.
