Retail Associate

Description

SUMMARY:

Promotes and sells hotel merchandise to guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Displays merchandise and restock sold items.
• Picks up boxes from Receiving Department when necessary.
• Unpacks and prices all merchandise with accuracy in a timely manner.
• Meets attendance requirements.
• Knowledge of products we sell and where they are stocked.
• Processes charges-credit card or room charges.
• Maintains cleanliness of store, outside display cases and fitting room, this includes vacuuming, dusting, cleaning glass shelves, and wiping up spills and debris when necessary.
• Fills out requisition forms and pick up items from the store room when necessary.
• Restocks all needed areas of the store.
• Greet all guests with “good morning, afternoon or evening” as specified in our Trump International Beach Resort and Forbes standards.
• Thanks all guest for shopping in the store, invite them back, provide shop hours and ask “is there anything else I can assist you with”?
• Must be able to complete all aspects of the job on a regular basis.
• Notifies management promptly of all problems and/or unusual matters.
• Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions including responsible vendor new hire class and quarterly update meetings.
• Promotes and applies teamwork skill at all times, within the department and through out the hotel.
• Polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employees.
• Maintains cleanliness and condition of equipment including computer, ticket guns, and work area.
• Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
• Complies with required safety regulations and procedures.
• Complies with hotel standard, policies and rules including Forbes standards.
• Remains current with hotel information and changes.
• Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards.
• Other duties as assigned
