  • To successfully complete all guest requests, as well as any request from the Banquet Operations Manager and the Banquet Event orders, in a timely fashion by communicating through the Banquet Department, Catering/Conference Services Department, Kitchen and Stewarding, and other support staff.


Responsibility:


  • The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
  • The ability to set up banquet rooms with equipment for functions according to contracts received from the Catering department.
  • The ability to clean function rooms including, but not exclusive to, vacuuming, dusting, shampooing of carpets, cleaning mirrors, marble, sand urns, etc.
  • The ability to provide any additional banquet equipment: i.e., tables, chairs, grease boards, flipcharts, etc. for function rooms or for set-ups in guest rooms.
  • The ability to retrieve meeting materials, props, crates, boxes, etc. from the receiving dock and store them safely and properly ensuring to log them where appropriate.
  • The ability to ensure that storage rooms are maintained in a clean, orderly fashion.
  • The ability to ensure function rooms are clean and available for showing to guests even when not in use.
  • The ability to maintain a cooperative, professional working style with supervisors and fellow employees.
  • The ability to perform all job related tasks with utmost concern for equipment and safety for onset and fellow workers.
  • The ability to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of all storage rooms.
  • The ability to keep linen regularly stocked and to take dirty linen to the laundry area.
  • The ability to hang skirts properly, set-up and skirt risers, tables, etc. when needed. .
  • The ability to ensure that linen par stock is maintained and that dirty linen is returned to the laundry.
  • The ability to attend and participate in all required meetings.
  • The ability to assist guest whenever they request assistance.
  • The ability to uphold the grooming policy in the Associate handbook
  • The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language (level to be customized per position).
  • The ability to follow payroll and key sign out procedures.
  • The ability to offer any assistance possible to guests.
  • The ability to respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
  • Comply with TIHTC work rules and standards per the associate handbook and as directed by management.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management

Qualifications

5 star 5 diamond service.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Able to work with heavy equipment throughout a minimum 8 hour work day.

Speak English.

Speak English and Spanish.
