TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an onsite internship in our Equipment Development department. We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy intern to join our team this individual will be responsible for supporting the development of automated and semi-automated equipment for laser diode development and production with an emphasis on a broad hardware and software skill set. This internship will be onsite at our Cranbury, NJ from May 2025 to August 2025 for 40 hours a week.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the development of hardware and software solutions for automated packaging and testing equipment with industrial robotic systems for semiconductor laser module manufacturing
- Support the software development and implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for high volume semiconductor manufacturing
- Provide daily support to Production, Production Engineering and Development Engineers at TRUMPF Photonics
- Background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation and/or Vision Systems
- Hands-on with extensive hardware and software lab experience, analytic skills and thoroughness required
- Fluent communication in English (oral and writing)
- Ability to work under supervision in different projects with a strong drive to solve problems
- Full time onsite position only
Education:
- Must be a students enrolled within the respective job family group undergoing supervised practical training.
- Proficient in at least one programming language includes but not limited to Python, C , C#, LabVIEW, Java, SQL, etc.
- Able to perform hands-on Mechanical and Electrical hardware assembly and instrumentation
- Able to understand CAD model and schematics
