What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snow Maintenance - Snow Plow Driver position at TruNorth Landscaping LLC?
TruNorth Landscaping is looking to hire snow plow drivers for the 2024-25 snow season. We are looking for hardworking, responsible, self-motivated individuals who are able to withstand the Michigan winter elements.
This position requires on-call availability at all days and hours of the week and is dependent on the snow. Time to complete your scheduled route is dependent on the snow.
Snow plow drivers may also be required to shovel walkways/sidewalks dependent on the property. In addition, this position includes salting parking lots and driveways consistent with the individualized client contracts, primarily commercial clients.
This is an excellent source of income for seasonal workers. Those who are hired may also be considered (based on a successful snow season) to join our landscaping construction and/or landscaping maintenance crews in the spring.
Employees must purchase their own winter gear, including boots, coats, gloves, etc.
Requirements:
· At least 18 years of age
· Valid Chauffeur Driver’s License
· Clear driving record
· Reliable transportation to and from work
· At least 1 year (season) of experience using a plow truck
· Must be available to be on call and work as needed
· Must be able to work long shifts
· Ability to lift 50 pounds may be necessary
Preferred Skills/Experience:
· Experience using skid steers and loaders
· Valid CDL
