We are seeking a Wireless Telecom Power Coordinator with Construction Manager experience to join our team!
***Must have cellular construction and power experience working on T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T wireless sites****
The Power Coordinator (PC) will oversee cellular projects for our client T-Mobile, on rooftop sites, tower sites, pole sites and vault sites located in SoCal. The qualified candidate should have deep construction management and power experience working on wireless projects. The position will work closely with the other staff providing power construction management oversight services, reporting, solving problems and finding solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Occasionally participates in site walks with team members to assess feasibility, scope, cost, and timeline.
- Create scopes of work (SOWs) for each project.
- Oversees the overall planning of power construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
- Verifies budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined project scope and schedule.
- Monitors progress of construction activities and reports to management on issues that may delay completion of construction.
- Oversees the assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goals. Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of construction.
- Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
- Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of power construction activities for management.
- Coordinates and works with jurisdictions, utility companies, and other stakeholders to ensure projects comply with local regulations and guidelines.
- Have an understanding of electrical and building permits to ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained as required by local authorities.
- Ensures effective implementation of all policies and procedures.
- Ensures safety is a top priority on each project.
- Serves as the primary contact with the project-specific construction management team, contractors, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities.
- Maintains strong community relations.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Oversees and manages CM/Design Consultant constructability review process
- Oversees and manages project closeout

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Indirectly supervises General Contractors and crews, deliveries, integration, etc.
· Carry out supervisory duties in accordance with the company’s policies, training programs and applicable laws.
· Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work and resolving problems.
- Function as the primary strategic leader of the assigned projects with responsibility for all aspects of the project construction, including client and Landlord satisfaction, schedule adherence, financial performance, safety and quality.
- Primary liaison with field work/construction and the Lead PM in the office.
- Ensure standards are met with the objective of exceeding client expectations through driving experience, communicating follow-up actions to the team as necessary.

- Ensure good safety practices.
- Understand all government regulations affecting the construction of the wireless industry, ensuring all entities are operated in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations and requirements of any federal, state or municipal authority.

Required Qualifications
· Ability to redline CDs, read and interpret an RFDS, and lead on design scoping calls with the client
· Ability to drive to local jurisdictions, Client offices, or Contractor offices when necessary
· Strong understanding of power systems, including utility coordination, power distribution, and electrical infrastructure planning, is highly preferred.
· Ability to professionally work within a team, working with multiple project managers simultaneously
· Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
· Motivated and self-driven with the ability to perform tasks independently

Education and Experience
· Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent, three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Knowledge and experience with managing the coordination of jurisdictions, utility companies, and understanding electrical and building permits.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in wireless, telecommunications and/or construction.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with utility companies and on power-related projects.
· Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to pass a drug screening and background test.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
