We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to our clients and are looking for a passionate Drone Pilot to join our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and control drones safely and responsibly, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure the drone is in proper working condition.
  • Plan and execute drone flights for wireless telecommunications infrastructure inspections, ensuring the safety of personnel and property.
  • Capture high-quality aerial footage and imagery specific to telecom projects.
  • Maintain and clean drone equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
  • Keep accurate records of flight activities, maintenance, and any incidents or accidents.

Qualifications

  • Valid Drone Pilot License: Must possess an FAA Part 107 pilot’s certificate.
  • Telecommunications Experience: Prior experience with wireless telecom infrastructure inspections is strongly preferred, as it relates to understanding project requirements and safety considerations.
  • Regulations: Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal regulations regarding drone operations, including airspace restrictions, flight restrictions, and privacy laws.
  • Flight Experience: Minimum of 50-100 flight hours on similar drone models.
  • Navigation Skills: Proficient in operating drones using remote controls or autonomous flight software.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with project managers, clients, and team members during pre-flight planning and execution.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues during drone operations.
  • Diligence: Strong attention to detail for accurate data collection and flight path planning.
  • Physical Fitness: Good physical fitness and hand-eye coordination to manage the remote controller and monitor the drone.

Certifications

  • First Aid and CPR: Valid certification required.
  • Additional Accepted Certifications: Any certifications related to drone operations, such as specialized aerial photography, thermal imaging, or surveying.

Equipment Knowledge

  • Familiarity with Drone Systems: Understanding of the drone models to be operated, including specifications and capabilities.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience using drone flight software for planning and data analysis.

Safety Protocols

  • OSHA 10 or 30: Completion of the OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety training is required. This training provides pilots with crucial knowledge of workplace safety standards and hazard recognition for safe drone operations.
  • Adhere to strict protocols, including pre-flight checklists and emergency procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Conduct risk assessments before flights to identify potential hazards.

Security Awareness

  • Understand data security and privacy when capturing imagery or footage.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information obtained during operations.

Professionalism and Compliance

  • Represent the company professionally and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Comply with all company policies and legal requirements related to drone operations.

Equipment Maintenance and Upkeep

  • Monitor and maintain the condition of drone equipment, performing regular inspections.

Documentation and Reporting:

Keep accurate and up-to-date records of flight logs, maintenance logs, incident reports, and any required paperwork for compliance and reporting purposes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
