Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and possess excellent leadership skills to manage kitchen staff effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that our culinary team maintains high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Manage shift operations, including scheduling staff and delegating tasks to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Oversee inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders for supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Assist in menu planning by collaborating with chefs to develop seasonal offerings and special promotions.
  • Train new kitchen staff on procedures, safety protocols, and best practices in food preparation.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints related to food quality or service promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the hospitality or food industry, with a focus on kitchen management.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Experience in shift management and the ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and menu planning strategies.
  • Catering experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $21.11 - $22.14 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
