Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitorial Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Perform commercial cleaning duties such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed to support facility operations.
- Carry out custodial duties that may include waste disposal, recycling, and restocking supplies.
- Support facilities maintenance efforts by reporting any issues or repairs needed in the building.
- Occasionally assist with residential painting projects as required.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Knowledge of floor care methods, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
