Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and order pickers, to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Move materials to designated areas within the warehouse while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring safe handling of materials.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
Requirements
- 3 years experience as a Forklift Operating experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely (20 pounds).
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
