What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Administrative Assistant position at Trust Point Inc.?
Trustpoint is excited to partner with regional law firm, who has been named to Best Law Firms for 10 consecutive years, in their search of a Legal Administrative Assistant on a direct hire basis. This hybrid role will support support the Practice Chair, who built and manages a busy and thriving niche transactional practice, in domestic and international work. Successful candidates will have 2 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant and 2 years in billing / time entry for Partners. This role will require overtime on a frequent basis, and is a non-exempt, OT eligible position.
Responsibilities :
- Drafting, using templates, scope of and proposal for service documents, client engagement letters, and new matter memos
- Conducting research on non-legal matters; drafting and summarizing findings
- Coordinating and hosting client meetings; updating attorneys on pertinent information
- Preparing invoices for submission to the finance team
- Compiling and entering Partner and attorney time
- Drafting correspondence memos, litigation pleadings, letters, and forms
- Organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments
- Developing and implementing databases, maintaining contact lists
- Assisting in the preparation of regularly-scheduled reports
- Researching and creating presentations; handling multiple projects
- Preparing travel plans and itineraries for the practice chair
- Covering for other assistants when required
- Maintaining litigation, database and manual filing systems
- Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Other duties and special projects as needed
