Job Summary
The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist will play a leadership role in supporting the Accounting and Finance department by driving financial strategy, managing complex budgets, and developing financial models to support high-level decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience working with government contracts and a proven track record of financial leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, management, and oversight of the company’s annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Build and maintain complex financial models and perform in-depth scenario analysis to inform executive-level decisions.
- Develop accurate financial forecasts, including strategic analysis of indirect cost trends and future rates.
- Calculate and manage indirect rates; prepare and submit provisional billing rates in compliance with government guidelines.
- Prepare and submit Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) to meet government contract requirements.
- Lead pricing efforts for cost proposals on new and existing government contracts.
- Conduct variance analysis, identify financial risks, and provide actionable insights to support business performance.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation and drive continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Contracts, Sales, Program Management) to align financial strategies with organizational priorities.
- Support DCAA audits and external reviews by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance.
- Monitor contract funding, track financial performance, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and federal regulations related to financial activities.
- Champion the implementation of enhanced financial tools and reporting systems (e.g., Power BI, ERP upgrades).
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably within a government contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to support financial strategy and influence senior leadership.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (preference for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations).
- Experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally to solve problems and deliver results.
- Familiarity with DCAA audits, Incurred Cost Submissions, and government cost proposal preparation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and lead projects.
- Must be willing to participate in a secure identity verification process as required to access client and government portals.

Pay/Salary Information Pay scale for this position - $85,529.00- $105,000.00 annually
