This position will be on site 4 days per week and one day remote.
Trustech is seeking an experienced and proactive Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to manage and support a premier client’s digital learning environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with LMS administration, particularly with Open edX and/or Canvas. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing the LMS platforms to support learners and instructors, ensuring seamless course delivery and a positive user experience.
Key Duties:
- Administer and maintain our LMS platforms (Open edX and/or Canvas).
- Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and course enrollments.
- Upload, configure, and troubleshoot course content including, videos, quizzes, and assignments.
- Provide technical support to instructors, students, and staff.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and faculty to develop effective online learning experiences.
- Generate reports and analytics on user engagement, completion rates, and platform performance.
- Integrate the LMS with other systems (e.g., SSO, CRM, analytics tools) as needed.
- Ensure data security, privacy compliance, and platform uptime.
- Stay current with platform updates, plugins, and emerging trends in online learning technologies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience administering an LMS in a professional or educational setting.
- Hands-on experience with Open edX and/or Canvas LMS is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in managing LMS features like course creation, assessment tools, gradebooks, and user management.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript (for LMS customization or troubleshooting).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
