What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Trusted Doctors, LLC?
We are seeking a qualified Staff Accountant with at least 3 years of hands on accounting experience to join our team located in Fairfax, VA. This position is full-time in office with potential for hybrid after 90 day Orientation period. The ideal candidate will assist in day to day accounting operations and play a crucial support role, helping present accurate financial statements and reports to executive leadership and board members. This individual will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the accounting department to ensure that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable – Manage all aspects of accounts payable to include Verifying invoices for accuracy, recording and making timely payments.
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Maintain accurate and up to date financial records
- Providing support to the accounting department
- Daily revenue reconciliation
- Collaborate on annual tax, license, and fee filings/payments
- Maintain General Ledger
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting field
Skills and Competencies:
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Accounting Software (experience with Netsuite a plus)
- Experience in a medical practice setting preferred but not necessary
