Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need, including those with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients in their homes, promoting independence while adhering to care plans. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment while providing personal care services.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness in the client's living space, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Assist with heavy lifting or mobility support as needed, ensuring safety for both the caregiver and client.
- Document daily activities, changes in client condition, and any concerns following HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Engage clients in social activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
Skills
- Strong understanding of home care practices and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
