Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze loan application documents to determine creditworthiness.
- Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
- Educate borrowers on available loan products to determine which is the best fit for them.
- Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions.
- Communicate with borrowers, realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth closing.
- Manage client pipeline to ensure consistent service levels from lead to closed
- Based on predetermined requirements, assess, and grant or reject mortgage applications.
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the local real estate market; current and predicted lending rates; and changes in rules, regulations, and best practices of mortgages.
- Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with potential new business referral partners.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Self-Sourced, Referral-based production is required, leads are not provided
- 1-3 years experience as a Loan Officer, 3 closed loans/month preferred
- NMLS Licensure in AZ, CA, CO, KS, MO, NM, and/or OR required
