About Our Facility
Situated on a 78-acre campus, our psychiatric hospital is the largest in the state, serving the western two-thirds of Kansas. We operate three distinct programs: the Psychiatric Services Program (PSP), the State Security Program (SSP), and the Sexual Predator Treatment Program (SPTP).
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients with diverse mental health conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor treatment responses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Offer therapeutic interventions and support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Familiarity with proprietary Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Must be flexible to work shifts needed by the facility during orientation week.
