Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week contract position in Labor and Delivery at a reputable healthcare facility in Boca Raton, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, detect early warning signs of complications, and take prompt action to prevent adverse events.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and evidence-based guidelines.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Florida RN license.
- At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with 1 year of recent experience in Labor and Delivery.
- American Heart Association BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to work 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, nights, and maintain flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
