General Summary
Deerfield Academy, a private, coeducational boarding school founded in 1797 and annually serving approximately 650 students in grades 9-12, seeks to hire a Testing Coordinator. This is a part-time, temporary role with an anticipated end date of May 31, 2025. Reporting to the Manager of Student Information Systems, the Testing Coordinator administers all aspects of standardized examinations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate Standardized Testing
- Decides, organizes, plans, administers, and directs all standardized tests (PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP exams, TOEFL, and Oxford), including preparation and dissemination of printed and electronic communications, staffing and supervision of examinations, to ensure a smooth and expeditious operation of each test
- Processes payroll and Honorarium for all standardized tests
- Communicates with the College Board, ACT, students, and parents to accurately obtain and disseminate information during testing administration
- Uploads score reports from College Board and ACT
- Act as SSD (Services for Students with Disabilities) Coordinator for the school by requesting testing accommodations from testing companies.
- Properly incorporates students’ accommodations in the testing administration based on the SSD guidelines
- Works with Dean of College Advising and Financial Aid Director on fee waivers and financial assistance
- Works across campus departments to secure resources and equipment
- Collaborate with ITS to ensure proper administration of testing requirements, allocation of resources, and submission for various digital exams
- Prepares materials in advance
- Makes timely decisions to ensure smooth running administration while following the guidelines to ensure student’s scores are not affected
- Assists with hiring and assessing performance of Testing Proctors

Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree; knowledge of testing administration preferred
- 1-3 years’ experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrates ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to manage, and sensitivity to, highly confidential information
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Maintains excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and make quick decisions

- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and on weekends
- Ability and willingness to work up to 12 hours/day during AP exam weeks
- Valid Driver’s License in order to operate a golf cart

- Ability to frequently sit and/or walk around for sustained periods of time
- Ability to occasionally sustain substantial movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
Working Conditions
The worker is mainly in an office environment and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
