Description

TruStile is seeking an Intern Engineer to join our Denver Engineering team and will report to the Director of Engineering. This position will be hands-on and capable of implementing robust initiatives that will support the growth of the business. The qualified individual will have continuous improvement experience and a proven track record implementing lean manufacturing practices.
What you’ll do:
- Evaluate manufacturing processes utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to identify waste.
- Become a subject matter expert on new production equipment and create detailed work instructions to train operators, supervisors, and maintenance.
- Develop waste reduction plans and provide ROI justifications for improvement projects.
- Utilize 5S principles to organize product workflows and workstation set-ups.
- Create standard work for critical processes that incorporate maintenance schedules to ensure process reliability.
- Establish consistent work procedures across all shifts based on the best practices to ensure predictable outcomes.
- Provide consistent and ongoing support to production to create a culture of continuous improvement related to safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Track and audit the results of improvement projects.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering Degree program
- Ability to work day shift hours
- Understanding of workflow
- Strong Excel and Microsoft office skills
Pay range starts $21.50
