Overview
The major responsibilities of this position is to partner with the internal business units for their Procurement/Sourcing activities and vendor contracts.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business unit leaders to identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and efficiencies
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for internal business units
- Lead contract negotiations with diplomacy and engage appropriate corporate partners
- Conduct vendor evaluations, e.g., potential new vendors, evaluating contracts.
- Manage multiple work streams simultaneously
- Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 4-year bachelors in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Management or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Display a strong sense of ownership and a drive for achieving results
- The ability to complete tasks with accuracy, thorough attention to detail with consistency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to work and analyze large amounts of information
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to think objectively
- Independent thinker and ability to work in at team environment
- Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
