Overview
The purpose of this job is to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Mortgage Loan Central Processing Department.
Responsibilities
- Cross-train, lead and develop team of associates to promote maximum productivity, engagement, succession planning and overall contribution to the strategic organizational goals.
- Directly manage processing function monitoring file status to ensure timely and correct processing.
- Train processors on new products, procedures, investor guidelines, etc.
- Process and Close Assumptions and CP Modifications.
- Track service performance of processors by working closely with Sales Manager and Originators to ensure quality service.
- Problem resolution on files in process with Originators, Realtors, Underwriters, and clients.
- Develop and enhance Processing Departments processes and procedures to ensure efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Junior college/two-year college training or related work experience
- 5 years of Mortgage Processing experience required
- Knowledge of mortgage lending, including loan processing and originating
- Thorough understanding of employee coaching techniques
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to efficiently handle workflows
- Ability to communicate will with clients and people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage, train and motivate team members
- Strong customer service skills
- Supervisory experience preferred
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
