Overview
The responsibilities of this position is to conduct financial analysis, assist with business case development as it relates to procurement/vendor related contracts and help with data driven decision making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial business cases and reports related to procurement/vendor activities and provide recommendations to the line of business
- Generate and interpret financial models and metrics
- Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure timely contract renewals and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Perform variance analysis, track spending against budgets and provide detailed financial reports to management
- Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and efficiencies
- Create and produce accurate standard and ad-hoc queries and reports to support business needs
- Monitor and analyze corporate vendor spend
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 4-year bachelor’s in Accounting, Banking & Finance or Business Management or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 1 year’s financial/statistical analytical terminology and methodology experience
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- The ability to complete tasks with accuracy, and attention to detail
- Independent judgement and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word and an advanced knowledge of Excel
- Comfortable working with large amounts of data
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills to analyze information
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
