As an IT Solution Architect at Trustmark focusing on data center technologies, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging your expertise to enhance the organization's infrastructure to support Trustmark's aggressive growth strategy. Your responsibilities will encompass providing architecture and technical thought leadership, leading the evaluation and selection of advanced data center technologies, and ensuring seamless integration of various infrastructure components including SD-WAN, virtual networking, Azure cloud, directory services, infrastructure security, SQL databases, and mainframe systems.
The role will emphasize applying enterprise standards, frameworks, and reference architectures. You will collaborate closely with the IT leadership team and business stakeholders to design and develop strategic IT roadmaps. Additionally, you will provide technical oversight and manage third-party vendors to ensure adherence to pre-approved architectural solutions. The role will promote innovation, develop / review domain-level architecture, and ensure enterprise architectural standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain best practices and reference architectures for data center technologies by collaborating with key stakeholders including Enterprise Architecture, CIO, and business leadership.
- Design and implement IT architecture frameworks that align with business goals and industry standards.
- Lead the development and deployment of solutions utilizing modern data center architecture to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation.
- Develop and maintain reference architectures and roadmaps.
- Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments.
- Conduct technology evaluations and provide recommendations to ensure the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies.
- Manage deviations and exceptions from reference architectures.
- Mentor and guide engineers and technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Manage technology complexities and conflicts.
- Create a strategy and vision for data center technologies and leverage exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to achieve that vision.
- Act as an idea generator and thought leader to develop new processes and solutions.
- Use technology knowledge to anticipate and understand the implications of emerging technologies.
- Work with engineers who are the technology owners to develop and maintain technology roadmaps with the goal of optimizing data center infrastructure capabilities.
- Act as a subject matter expert in data center technologies.

The salary range for this role is the following in Lake Forest, Illinois :
107,563.00 - $199,759.00 per year
The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus.
