What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intellectual Property Paralegal position at TrustPoint International, LLC?
Trustpoint.One is pleased to be partnering with the Washington, D.C. office of a well regarded and nationally ranked full-service law firm in their search for an Intellectual Property Paralegal with at least 4 years of experience with patent and trademark prosecution to work on a HYBRID basis.
Responsibilities
- Review documentation from the USPTO and US Copyright Office as well as manage and oversee U.S. and international trademark portfolios.
- Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, responses to office actions, requests for extensions of time, statements of use, declarations of use, declarations of incontestability, renewals, and other filings related to U.S. trademark prosecution.
- Draft and file IR/Madrid international applications, irregularity responses, subsequent designations, and WIPO renewals.
Skills
- At least 4 years of proven experience working with an IP boutique or in the IP section of a full-service law firm.
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
- Extensive computer and database expertise, including utilizing CPI (or similar docket platform)
- Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate is a plus.
NOTE:
The salary offering will be determined based on the candidate’s industry knowledge and experience.
All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
