Trustpoint.One is proud to partner with a large, nationally respected intellectual property law firm in their search for a Litigation Legal Assistant on a direct hire basis. This role will support various attorneys in the firm's IP litigation group. Successful candidates will have 4 years' experience in litigation, with previous experience in IP litigation strongly preferred. This hybrid role is available for candidates in Minneapolis, Alexandria VA, Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles or New York City.
Responsibilities:
- Produce all document processing and correspondence assignments accurately and efficiently
- Manage, organize, and maintain all documents and pleadings
- Maintain attorney and paralegal calendars; schedule and coordinate meetings, ensuring appropriate stakeholders are aware of court items, scheduling conference rooms as needed
- Coordinate with docket department for related deadlines, maintaining attorneys' dockets
- Draft pleading and discovery documents; drafting shell notices, shell declarations, shell proposed orders and proof of service
- Court filings and service of documents; e-file and serve documents required by federal, state and local rules
- Retrieve files, cases, depositions, exhibits, documents, and other information as requested
- Make necessary arrangements for depositions
- Assist team in preparation for out-of-town depositions and trial
- Other duties and special projects as needed
Requirements:
- 4 years' experience in litigation, with previous experience in intellectual property litigation strongly preferred
- Excellent skills in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Elite 3E and other law firm/litigation software
- Demonstrated professionalism with a team-oriented mindset
- Able to proofread efficiently; checking for contextual, grammatical and typographical errors
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of attorneys and staff, via written or verbal means
- All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time
